Discussion: Would you be willing to give up convenience features for more affordable cars?

The Slate pickup has introduced a truly affordable new vehicle, but at the expense of features we’ve come to expect in modern cars. It forgoes power windows and a built-in infotainment system to achieve its budget price (sub-$20k after incentives), but would you be willing to buy more vehicles adopting this philosophy if it means you could save some cash? Is Slate onto something, or is it worth paying for comfort and convenience?
